Rosario Salazar's design skills were nurtured at the Piloto University in Bogotá , Colombia , where she received a degree in architecture prior to coming to the U.S. After several years as an architect specializing in renovations and historic preservation, she was retained by a leading interior design firm to oversee mayor residential and commercial projects, resulting in several statewide honors. She established her own multi-faceted Miami based design firm in 1995, and since then she has been designing non-stop for the Latin America and South Florida elite and been the recipient of many Design Awards, such as the ASID< IDG< as well as the “Orchid Award”, which is given to Colombian citizens that have excelled in and outside Colombia for her work as an Architect and Interior Design, Rosario Salazar, founder of Rosario Salazar Design and Rosario Salazar @ the Village, has worked on interior design projects of all shapes and sizes on a national and international basis. Rosario Salazar @ the Village is located in the heart of Coral Gables . The store was created for consumers, designers, architects, builders, decorators and their clients seeking exclusive products to complete interior design projects of any kind. Rosario Salazar is able to create and manufacture exclusive furniture out of her own shops located in Miami and Bogotá, her native city in Colombia .
